About
I am a Computer Engineering Major studying at Ryerson University and have years of experience with the current elementary and high school curriculum. I have been tutoring around west-end Toronto since 2018 across many students. Lessons are exclusively conducted online for the time being, and have been for the past year. I have a very effective online teaching setup through Skype. For students of mine I am available for ’emergency’ solutions over text whenever a question or two comes up, at any time of the day. I charge a rate of $40/hr.

Method
I believe that anyone can succeed in math given enough time; however the current math curriculum is very fast paced and it is easy for students to fall behind. As a tutor, my job is to solidify the lessons that the students have learned from their teacher and fill in any and all gaps that the students may have. I evaluate what my students know coming in, what their goals are for the lesson, and how I can get them there by the end of the lesson. I do this through illustrative examples which challenge and extend my student’s understanding in subtle ways, allowing me to see what exact ideas need to be developed.

Experience
I have been a math and science tutor in the west end Toronto area since 2018. I not only have a great amount of experience with all of the topics covered in high school math, but I also have a great amount of experience teaching them. From the beginning of Grade 9 math with fractions and power rules, to the end of Calculus and Vectors with derivatives and projections, I am able to teach the content. I also have experience teaching younger students, as early as Grade 3 level content.

Teaching Setup Includes:
- Wacom Intuos Writing Tablet
- Blue Yeti Microphone
- HD Webcam
- High-Speed Ethernet Connection
YouTube Content
I also produce YouTube content relating to university level math (such as Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Linear Algebra, Physics: Mechanics, Physics: Waves and Field, and more!) which will always be available for free online. The following is just one example of a Calculus 2 video I produced. You can click here to visit my channel!
